The final film in a trilogy by director Jon Jost is an exquisitely photographed portrait of small-town America and the kind of malaise which afflicts it in the rough-and-tumble 90s. Ray (Tom Blair) is a lumberjack in a small Oregon town. While Ray can commune with nature, he has trouble communicating with those closest to him, especially when he finds his economic livelyhood threatened.
